Managed collection network
PAWCycle coordinates scheduled pickup, supply delivery, bin service, and customer records through one professionally managed collection network.
What happens to the waste?
PAWCycle starts by collecting pet waste separately from ordinary garbage. This creates a cleaner and more consistent material stream that can be measured, tested, and prepared for recovery.
Our long-term goal is to divert up to 100% of the collected material from landfill and turn it into useful end products such as compost, fertilizer, renewable gas, electricity, recycled materials, or other viable products. Each step will be tested and confirmed safe before it is accepted by receiving partners, permitted by regulators, and proven affordable to operate.
Current work
PAWCycle provides the bins, approved bags or litter, identification, pickup records, and service tracking. Keeping pet waste separate gives us the dependable volume and material information needed to develop the next stages of recovery.
Next step
Equipment testing is being done to determine the viability of separating plastic from pet waste. Successful separation would create two distinct potential energy and resource streams—the prepared organic material and the recovered plastic—with the goal of leaving close to 0% for landfill.
Safety step
Pasteurization is required to reduce pathogens before the prepared organic material can be used commercially. PAWCycle will validate the required temperature, treatment time, equipment, monitoring, and testing before any commercial use.
Future goal
Potential outcomes include compost, fertilizer, renewable gas, electricity, recycled plastic products, and other uses that testing may establish. As technology advances and each part of the system is validated, PAWCycle will update this site with progress toward the near-zero-landfill goal.
Why PAWCycle supplies the materials
Using the same approved materials in every PAWCycle bin helps keep the collected stream consistent. That makes it easier to separate the pet waste from the plastic and find the best recovery use for both.
Dog-waste customers use PAWCycle-approved bags. Filled bags are placed in a PAWCycle residential bin or in a PAWCycle station at an apartment, condo, park, or other managed property. Using one known bag type keeps many unrelated plastics from being mixed together.
The cat service is designed as one complete system. PAWCycle organic litter is delivered in PAWCycle packaging, and the used litter, cat waste, and approved empty packaging are placed in the PAWCycle residential bin as directed. Matching the litter and packaging to the collection system helps keep the material consistent for future separation and treatment.
Using the same known materials makes it easier to separate the organic material from the plastic and choose the best use for both streams. PAWCycle’s long-term goal is to recover useful products or energy from close to 100% of the collected material and send close to 0% to landfill.
The completed account area will support residential pickup requests, service records, approved-material orders, property reporting, invoices, and account communication. The account portal will be added in a later build step.
Residential page
Residential availability, household service, curbside dog-waste pickup, PAWCycle cat-litter service, and residential registration are contained on this page.
Residential availability
Residential service launches according to local route density, geography, housing concentration, and operating efficiency. Enter your postal code to continue to the residential registration flow.
Residential service
Residents purchase a dedicated PAWCycle bin, use PAWCycle-approved bags, register the bin to their account, request an earlier paid pickup through its QR code, and place it at the curb for collection.

Residential service is separate from apartment and condo station contracts. It is designed for eligible individual homes within an activated curbside route.
The pet owner enters a postal code and registers household interest. PAWCycle uses residential demand and route density to determine when an area can launch.
When the route is available, the customer reviews the approved package, purchases the required PAWCycle bin and materials, and activates the residential service.
Dog-waste customers use PAWCycle-approved bags, request pickup through the bin’s QR code when an earlier paid pickup is needed, and place the bin at the agreed curbside point. Cat-litter customers use PAWCycle organic litter and follow the configured collection and litter-delivery cycle.
PAWCycle collects the dog-waste bin from the curb and returns it to the same curbside point after servicing. The service visit is recorded in the customer account.
Residential household estimate
This residential calculator estimates the physical waste stream that could be moved into an individual household collection route. It does not claim a specific energy or emissions result before the downstream processing pathway has been validated.
Enter your number of dogs. You can change the daily estimate for your household.
Planning estimate only. Actual waste volume and weight vary by dog size, diet, pickup habits, moisture, and packaging.
Oshawa residential launch progress
PAWCycle uses a staged launch process. Qualified registrations first establish community demand. After that milestone is reached, the display changes to Launch Activation and measures completed paid subscriptions directly.
Stage 1
Qualified registrations are building the community demand needed before paid enrollment opens. Weekday distribution also helps confirm practical route density.
These five indicators show how qualified interest is distributed across Oshawa’s Monday–Friday municipal collection days. They support route-density planning and are visually capped at 100%.
Includes qualified registrations associated with Monday municipal collection.
Includes qualified registrations associated with Tuesday municipal collection.
Includes qualified registrations associated with Wednesday municipal collection.
Includes qualified registrations associated with Thursday municipal collection.
Includes qualified registrations associated with Friday municipal collection.
Public percentages do not disclose PAWCycle’s exact internal economic threshold. Individual weekday meters and the overall meter never display more than 100%. Targets are configurable and will be recalibrated using real launch revenue, route times, customer mix and operating costs.
Residential dog-waste service
Use PAWCycle-approved bags, place tied bags into the registered household bin, and move every registered bin to the agreed curbside point on collection day.

Approved residential policy
PAWCycle uses a 30-litre residential bin. Weekly or biweekly collection is assigned from the approved household scale, and no registered bin remains in service for longer than 14 days. Every bin is collected on its scheduled day regardless of fullness to support odour control and cleanliness. The number of bins recommended depends on pet size, number of pets, and whether the household has both dogs and cats.
Maximum residential service interval
PAWCycle assigns each household a weekly or biweekly collection schedule using the approved pet-size and pet-count scale. Every registered bin is collected on its scheduled service day whether full, partly full, or lightly used. The maximum time between regular collections is 14 days.
An earlier pickup may be requested through the bin’s QR code for an additional fee. When early pickup is requested continually, PAWCycle will recommend an additional bin or review the household’s standard service configuration.
Dog households
| Household | Bins |
|---|---|
| One small, medium, or large dog | 1 |
| One giant dog | 1, with usage monitored |
| Two small dogs | 1 |
| Two medium dogs | 1 |
| Two large dogs | 2 |
| Three medium dogs | 2 |
| Four medium dogs | 2 |
| Five or six medium dogs | 3 |
Cat households
| Cats | Collection | Bins |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Biweekly | 1 |
| 2–4 | Weekly | 1 |
| 5–8 | Weekly | 2 |
| 9–12 | Weekly | 3 |
Combined households
Dog and cat waste may use the same residential bin during the initial landfill phase, provided the bin closes completely and remains within the approved weight and fill limits.
PAWCycle will recommend additional bins when the combined pet-waste volume is too high for one bin.
Optional early service
A customer may scan the registered bin’s QR code to request collection before the next scheduled service day. An additional early-pickup fee applies.
When the household repeatedly requires early collection, PAWCycle will recommend another 30-litre bin or reassess the household’s standard service configuration. The goal is to prevent continual surcharge use when additional capacity is the more practical solution.
Future building program
Condo and apartment service will not be included in the initial launch.
Participating residents may use one small in-unit PAWCycle bin for:
Waste must remain inside a tied liner. Residents must not dump loose litter or pet waste into the shared building bin.
During the landfill phase, dog and cat waste may share the same central bin. When Site 1 begins processing trials, PAWCycle may temporarily separate dog and cat waste into different central bins for testing.
Future Apartments & Condos program
Condo and apartment service is not part of the initial residential launch. This page documents the future property program and allows authorized decision-makers to prepare a preliminary planning estimate.
Apartments, condos and townhouse communities
This service is arranged by an authorized property owner, property manager, condo board, or other multi-residential decision-maker. Residents use the installed PAWCycle stations and PAWCycle-supplied bags; they do not register the property or request individual station pickups. PAWCycle assesses the site, recommends station quantity and placement, installs the stations, and manages recurring service.
Station placement based on building entrances, dog-walking routes, service distance, and expected capacity.
Request an assessment →Distributed stations for multiple entrances, internal pathways, greenspace, and separate service zones.
Request an assessment →Managed rental communities and other shared residential properties can receive a site-specific station and servicing recommendation.
Request an assessment →How apartments and condos work
Apartment and condo service is a property contract. It does not depend on individual resident registrations or residential curbside pickup requests.
A property owner, manager, condo board, municipal representative, or other authorized decision-maker provides the site information.
PAWCycle reviews capacity, entrances, walking routes, station placement, service distance, vehicle access, and route complexity. Most reviews begin remotely.
PAWCycle recommends station quantity and locations, identifies any complexity charges, and prepares the service proposal. A site visit is used when needed.
After approval, PAWCycle installs and registers the stations, then services them under the property contract. Residents use the PAWCycle-supplied bags and deposit them in the installed stations.
Approved future-property scale
Estimated dogs establish the preliminary capacity requirement. Property layout, entrances, walking routes, and separate service zones may increase the final station quantity.
| Dogs served | Recommended stations | Typical service frequency |
|---|---|---|
| 1–20 | 1 | Weekly |
| 21–40 | 1 | 2× weekly |
| 41–60 | 2 | 2× weekly |
| 61–80 | 3 | 2× weekly |
| 81–100 | 4 | 2× weekly |
| 101–125 | 5 | 2× weekly |
| 126–150 | 6 | 2× weekly |
| 151–200 | 8 | 2× weekly |
